Sunset WKN

Ultimate Events was engaged by its sister company TRIBE Group, to execute its launch of Carnival 2023. 

We knew this had to be a launch unlike any other, given the absence of a full Carnival celebration since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. This event would signal the return of the full-scale festival and a return to the Carnival season as we knew it.

In response to the challenge, we struck upon an unprecedented and ambitious plan – a weekend-long celebration highlighting various aspects of Carnival. We called it Sunset Wkn – four events over three days in July 2022.

First up was Sunset Theatre – a street parade down Ariapita Avenue featuring theatre and dance depicting Trinidad and Tobago’s varied cultural landscape. The event was free to the public, starting at Ana Street and culminating at Adam Smith Square.
