In 2020, while the world grappled with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, ANSA McAL approached us to execute a campaign that would uplift and support the Caribbean in those uncertain times.
Our UEL team conceptualised a regional benefit concert, targeting in the first instance the territories where ANSA McAL operates, with the potential to expand further in the future.
Donations made during the concert would contribute to the One Caribbean Future Fund, which was established to provide technology to support home-based learning in the face of school closures.
With country borders closed and COVID-19 restrictions in place, we leveraged our regional network of event companies, talent agencies and film production companies, and coordinated the production from Trinidad and Tobago.
Operating from our base in Trinidad and Tobago, team UEL coordinated production teams in Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago who recorded the performances by a range of musicians and singers, complete with set design and costuming.
Our UEL team in Trinidad also managed the editing and broadcast of the programme. The pre-recorded concert was live broadcast all over the world on October 30, 2022 to resoundingly positive reviews.
